I have carried this work with me for decades. It began as a sculpture using split-ply braiding, a technique from northwestern India. It was then coated in paper pulp and formed into a conical shape. I used it in a performance at The Glassworks in 2018

The forth iteration of this work took place at Accidental Theater on 7th October to an in person audience of three and streamed online.

I began Confinement V at 6pm in the theater space an hour before the audience arrived chanting a phrase that I translated to Irish from a question my son asks me all the time. Cad atá me ann do? (What am I (t)here for).
